Last year Makiko Tada graciously took Rodrick Owen's place at our Kumihimo Festival while Rodrick remained in England to celebrate his birthday
with his family at their request.
We had a wonderful time with Makiko who won us all over to the use of her ingenious round and square disks and her boundless energy and enthusiasm.
See below for links to some photos from her class.
Many thanks Makiko for all the great things you shared with us.
Rodrick Owen had scheduled to come back and be with us this
year from October 24-28, but unfortunately he suffered a
serious fall and became very ill and will not be able to join
us afterall. We are all wishing him a complete recovery and
hope that he'll be back with us next year. All of the fees collected for that
session are being returned to the students.
In the meantime, some of the students who had signed
up for the class are planning to come that week and spend time
braiding together in the Henhouse Studio. Contact Jackie if you would like to
join us for that five days. (info@pacifictextilearts.org)
