Our next financing project is to raise $14,900. to pay for a necessary new roof for our headquarters building at
450 Alger Street in Fort Bragg. It has been in a precarious state since we bought this property thirteen years ago.

Now it has several spots which are down to the underlying felt. The new roofing will include removal of three layers of shingles, placement of solid sheeting and new felt layer to be covered with fifty year composite shingles.

We are not going to indulge in a new crisis driven pledge campaign similar to the one we did thirteen years ago to obtain the property or the recent one to move the two classrooms across town to create our little campus. You have all been so generous and responsive that we feel doing this one more time would be just too much dependency on the urgency of the situation. A little like crying wolf one too many times. However, we all know that climate changes in recent years have made weather prediction almost impossible on a longterm basis. If the new roof resonates for you, please consider it when you write out you next donations to good causes.
If you have grant proposal writing skills or foundation connections you'd like to share with Jackie W. regarding this project, please contact her at
jwoll@mcn.org

Many thanks.

PACIFIC TEXTILE ARTS is an organization dedicated to all aspects of the study and fabrication of textiles. We are run entirely by a group of generous volunteers who live on the Mendocino Coast in the vicinity of Fort Bragg, California. We are governed by a board of directors listed below and supported by textile enthusiasts in California as well as some very special people who live from New York to San Francisco.

Take a look at our "About PTA" page for more information about our activities.
