Several methods of making cloth dolls will be demonstrated and participants will be able to finish at least one doll.

There will be a big variety of recycled fabrics provided, although participants can bring their own if they wish.

Hand sewing is the primary method used, and it can be tricky with recycled cloth, depending on the weave (the looser the better – knits are usually good).

Hand sewing on felt is easier on the hands, and participants are encouraged to bring their own if possible.

Materials will be provided and there will be extensive hand-outs.   Participants need only bring basic sewing supplies and scissors.  Yarns for hair will be provided, but since they won’t be used until the Sunday class, you can bring yarns from your stash or find something special in the PTArts sales room.
