Travel Opportunity

PTArts heard from Sue Richardson that in May of this year she led her fifth textile tour around the Lesser Sunda Islands of Indonesia on board the Ombak Putih.  It was a great success, with several new places added to their itinerary – including a village where they make natural dyes from sea sponges and the ink of the sea hare.  Eight of the twelve cabins are already booked for next year’s tour but you can click on this link which gives more details in case this is of interest to you.

This is also a great trip for those whose partners are not addicted to textiles as we sail through spectacular scenery, visit some amazing villages, get to see inside clan houses, enjoy snorkeling and a beach barbecue, and meet royalty – not to mention the Komodo dragons!
