This little doll was recently finished by Elaine Todd, our president, and was crocheted for her great granddaughter’s, Penelope Pearl, first birthday.
She made her granddaughter a doll and read her the story from Women Who Run with the Wolves about a mother who had a six year old daughter and was dying and knew she could not be there for her. She gave her a doll and told her to put it in her pocket and when she had a question she could ask the doll.
Her granddaughter Mallory, now 35 still has that doll. Elaine also made one for her now eight year old great granddaughter, Mayla.
Mallory will save it for when Penelope is a bit older.
