June in the Gallery: Traditional Japanese Textiles with Mari Yamaguchi

11am – noon: Mari’s talk and slideshow
Mari Yamaguchi will be exhibiting her collection of traditional Japanese Textiles, a collection that includes both clothing and cloth pieces which are made from plant fibers. During the month of June she will also be giving a talk on her exploration of traditional plant fiber processing and cloth making in Japan. Afterward she will be teaching a class on Kudzu thread making where you will learn the art of individually knot tying fibers together to create thread for weaving. Lolli Jacobsen will also be exhibiting some of Pacific Textile Arts Japanese Textiles.
