May 3 – Marbling on Fabric with Emma Neill

Class Description:  You will learn the technique of floating paint on the surface of thickenedwater to make organic patterns that can be transferred onto paper or fabric. We will practice on cotton and finish by marbling canvas tote bags.

BIO: I was born and raised in Kalamazoo Michigan and attended The University of Michigan for Fine Art. I studied textile design in India before moving to Los Angeles where I worked for many years hand marbling silk for interior designers. Now I live here in Fort Bragg and attend the Krenov School of Fine Woodworking.
